First day of internship

Today was my first day of internship at the Hospital du Sacre-Coeur de Montréal.
It all started very badly since I arrived with a half-hour late ... because I wanted to verify the path to go to my placement on Google Maps, and it showed me a distance of 5Km. I said "OK it's not too far", it should not take me more than a quarter of an hour to get there. But the way I realized that a quarter of an hour would be far too inadequate ... Here the streets are all straight and very long, in addition to cross it may take more than a minute to pass through. But finally I arrived the person who took me over (my head of course) was very understanding. And after a brief presentation he introduced me to all staff responsible for the informational system as they say here (IT) of the hospital and showed me around the premises and the server room. Then we went down to the basement to do my student card with an RFID chip to open the doors (This technology is very definitely used here since I also have a residence and it must even use whenever there is a door ...). Then I talked about what I have to do during my internship with Orlando, which has a half-Quebecois accent half Venezuelan, so much tell you that sometimes it was hard to understand.
Finally, the day was not so bad despite the incident in the morning, and we'll see what tomorrow brings!
