Hervanta, Tampere Illuminations Tampere and Snow

And now, the snow just fallen in recent days and it covered everything. Temperatures also fell below 0 ° C.

So with regard Hervanta is an extension of Tampere located 20 minutes by bus from downtown Tampere, there still over 25,000 people including 4,500 students at the University of Technology (where I am ) Tampere and the Police Academy. The houses are mostly low-income housing, there is a small lake in the center, more where you can swim (summer) within the forest that surrounds all Hervanta. At the shops there a few small shops and a shopping mall with two food supermarkets, there is also a handy little shop on Sunday.

Here are some pictures of snow followed by that of Hervanta and new Tampere (Tampere night with Christmas lights).

Visit Mount Royal

Today I went to Mount Royal, where normally I would have taken pictures of the gorgeous view, but my camera had no battery and anyway he was taking pictures of poor quality. But this time no problem.
Above all, arriving at the Mont-Royal, I was impressed by the number of people, it appears that the street is very crowded, especially by tourists and yet on Sunday there are only half of stores that are open, but today it was very nice and the people probably want to review a walk, also it was so beautiful that I was sweating under my coat. To return to what I did there was to the subway exit vendor pancakes and some sort of strange lollipop maple syrup. As it looked good I bought one and they call it a "maple taffy on snow" as they lay on the snow line of maple and snow with a stick we get the maple cooled in the snow. It is sweet and very good, but after it was fingers that stick. Here is a picture to give you an idea:

It snowed again

It snowed again yesterday for a while and quite strong. He must believe that he never stops snowing here, especially this year it has snowed a lot more than in previous years. Hopefully this will be the last time, even if it's very pretty.

Arriving in Montreal

Hello everyone, I just arrived in Montreal to do my internship three months. The journey was long:

  • 3:00 train to go to Paris (fortunately in first class with no one beside me)
  • Carrying my 2 bags (20 and 13 kilos) and my backpack and more
  • Very little time to sleep, he had to leave very early in the morning to the airport to carry the baggage check
  • 9:00 flight with a stopover half past one in Quebec (in the A310 where there is almost no room to move a toe over the aircraft appeared to have at least 20 service)
  • For 30 minutes to finally find myself in this small (very small hotel room (which I share with my colleagues) to write this post

Here are some pictures, sorry for the quality my camera to big problems functioning.
I did a quick tour of the city center near the hotel where we stayed asleep.

The second day we were taken to tour the city by bus with a tour guide who explained the history of the city. And that day it snowed one can still, this was an exceptionally abundant snow for Montrealers.

Unfortunately, I could not take more pictures because I did not think to recharge batteries for my camera ... and it was unfortunate because the guide took us to Mount Royal, a place where there is a a magnificent view of half of Montreal.
