NYC, New York

After going to Quebec (the city) because I learned that there was a bus line between Montreal and New York. After looking at prices and schedules, I noticed that prices were relatively low and buses depart every day. In addition when purchasing a ticket, you hand back and when you will, with such flexibility I thought it was necessary that I go see the Big Apple before my return to France.

I only had more time to find a place to sleep. For this, nothing better than the net. The forums advise youth hostels (site I recommend) for an unbeatable price. And it was indeed the case, then I booked two nights in a hostel in downtown Manhattan, two blocks from Times Square and at a reasonable price. So I went on a Thursday evening to arrive the next morning 9hOO in New York. The day of departure I was impressed by the number of people there were, the Montréal / New York is busy, fortunately there are several. I thought that travel at night I would sleep to be fit the next morning. Error, no way to be quiet in these cars. Unlike the excellent company Québéquoise who liaises between Montreal and Quebec, here is the American company that deals Greyhound transport. And it's a real horror, for maximum performance all the seats are occupied. Second, because certainly that has high mileage produces a deafening preventing anyone from sleeping. Thirdly, the stops are too frequent, the first stop before the border for goods Duty Free, the second for the border control, the third in the state capital of New York, Alabny where nobody goes ... the fourth power switch driver ... it's really long and tiring. Finally we arrived near the city, it became quite apparent when he saw the window behind the long queue of cars at the entrance to Manhattan is really impressive. After we see the distant skyscrapers of Manhattan, just as impressive. And finally here I am in Manhattan! Only problem, I do not know where the station stood from my hostel. Fortunately, the names of main streets is not very complicated, in fact they are mere numbers, and luckily the hostel was only a few streets. Once the proper street crossing is found, I realized that there was no hostel and that number indicated a building entrance. Finally, I can not remember how but I found the place that has proven to be a sort of apartment furnished to accommodate guests. Not necessarily very welcoming, there were three rooms of four beds, there was also a space for kitchen with refrigerator, sink, hotplates and two bathrooms. All this without forgetting the most important opportunity to connect to Internet in WIFI. In addition, the owner had left the keys to return when I wanted. Once my luggage placed me here to attack the city. I printed a few shots on Google Maps to find easy places to visit, starting from the hostel apartment. First visit to the nearest Time Square. It's pretty impressive with all those lights, but in daylight it is not much to see. So I took the train towards Downtown. ... I'll be releasing more shortly. Pictures:
